Mix Your Solution
If you are doing a large amount of plants, you can mix approximately 1 teaspoon of Big Foot Gold into 2 gallons of water. If you are just doing one plant like in the video, then you can approximate this by adding enough to turn your water a rich gold color. Once your Mycorrhizae is mixed, it’s time to inoculate!
What is soil inoculation?
Soil drenching is easy — just be sure to evenly distribute the solution around your plant’s root zone. Doing this every 2-3 weeks will ensure that the mycorrhizae can maintain a healthy and robust symbiotic relationship with your roots, making your houseplants look better than your neighbors. (Be sure to eventually let them in on the secret, unless you aren’t friendly with your neighbors. Big Foot doesn’t judge).
Here is a rough guide to how much solution should be needed for your houseplants:
4″ pot = 3 oz of solution
1 Gallon pot – 5 oz of solution
3 Gallon pot – 16 oz of solution
5 Gallon pot – 32 oz of solution
Every plant species is different, but luckily they all benefit from the fungal networks created in your soil with Big Foot Mycorrhizae. Happy planting, and be sure to share your results with us on Instagram!
